Job Description:
Under supervision of the Food Service Manager and Administrative Staff, the Food Service Aide provides assistance in a broad program of food service provided at the facility for the residents.
QUALIFICATION:
Shall be at least 16 years of age.
Shall have basic knowledge of cooking skills and ability to follow the State Food Guidelines.
Shall have knowledge of the risks of food-borne illnesses, diseases, and prevention and have a combination of training and work experiences to carry out position's duties.
Shall have the ability to make decisions and set goals, to exercise good judgment, to work with people in a way to increase/maintain independence, and to work independently and as a team member.
Must be flexible, have emotional stability; acceptance of people; non- judgmental, non-prejudicial; and is highly motivated.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Plans, and serves meals and snacks according to resident needs and facility requirements.
Keeps kitchen and dining areas clean and in good repair.
Food will be stored under sanitary conditions in accordance with State Food Guidelines.
Provide residents with assistance needed in activities of daily living in regards to food service.
Shall retain documentation that has received 12 hours of ongoing training per each year of employment on topics related to job duties.
Reports any evidence of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of any resident.
